People already on established farms, others also clearing land within the Wanilla area, tradespeople, teachers, machinery operators, foresters, farm workers, musicians, shearers and sharefarmers were all an integral part of the new community.
The families - Murchison, Polden, Robinson, Coats, Luckraft, Hoskins, Gordon, Preece, Tucknott, Scott, Whitehead, Stringer, Walter, Wilson, Pope, George Schneider, McFarlane, Gerschwitz, Kurovec, Blann, Adams and Speed added to the success and character in the early days of the Wanilla settlement. |
